Legal process outsourcing increasingly favoured by top UK law practices
Written by Romina | Outsource Offshore
A recent survey by Sweet and Maxwell reports that more than 20% of the top 100 British Law firms say that they will be using legal outsourcing. The survey of legal finance directors shows a highly significant 5% uplift compared with the same period last year with cost reduction being cited as the number one driver. The survey also highlights that it is not just low value routine work which is being considered for outsourcing.Analysts were surprised at the number of firms who said that they would even consider outsourcing core due diligence work for mergers and acquisitions, indicating that their level of trust in legal outsourcing has increased significantly over the past 12 months.Despite this positive trend from Japan, Vietnamese outsourcers are actively targeting Europe too.EPT for example has just opened a software outsourcing centre in Germany.
